FUNFISHERS HOLIDAY CLUB – PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES SUMMER 2017
We promote child led play and have left room on the programme for your child to have their input.
Please ensure your child comes to the setting dressed appropriately for the weather i.e. coat/waterproof clothing, sun hat please as the weather is very unpredictable. Ensure you apply sun cream on hot sunny days to avoid sunburn.
We do promote lots of outdoor play and physical activities as we have a large open playground and field facilities during the holiday sessions, spare clothes are an advantage as we have lots of water fun play during the warm weather.
Breakfast served from 9.00-9.30am, Lunch is between 12.00-12.30pm and tea snack 4.00-4.30pm during this time the children can eat the food that has been prepared by our cook Carol.
Please note, the afternoon session starts at 12.45pm – children booked in for this session must NOT arrive during lunch as this affects our adult: child ratios as well as children trying to eat their lunch and quiet time.
Always available during the day for your child are drawing, board games, construction, dressing-up, indoor/outdoor games & sports, reading books and den building. Computer games & TV viewing are available at certain times only. We hope this will give you a general idea of what your child will be doing on the scheme. This programme is flexible and subject to change, further details of trips etc. will be available when booking.
Week 1: Monday 31st July, Tuesday 1st August: Premium sports join us for a day full of physical activities archery, fencing and team games
Wednesday-Friday 2nd/3rd/4th August: Make a Trip to India with us tasting traditional food, Bollywood dancing, henna tattoos arts and crafts, dressing up and much more.
Week 2: Monday 7th August: Tuesday 8th/9th August: Premier sports, archery, fencing, physical activities. Thursday 10th August: Bouncy castle assault course
FUN ON WHEELS week– Children may bring their own bikes, scooters and skates to play with in the playground (sorry but no skateboards or in-line roller blades).
Week 3: Monday 14th August: Exploring & outdoor week, forest school (on site), bug hunting, butterfly walk (we will pick the best day for a walk this week according to the weather) outdoor clay modelling.
Week 4: Monday 21st August: Animal & Nature this week Monday we will see a visit to us from some furry friends & reptiles courtesy of nature safari. Later in the week come and see Edie the owl then join us for a visit to Cannon Hall farm on Wednesday 23rd lots of larger animals and huge outdoor play area then enjoy a picnic lunch. (There will be an extra £5.00 per child for this day to pay towards the cost of entry and coach hire)
Week 5: Monday we will be closed for bank holiday 28th August. All the fun of the fair this week, come and play we have lots of fun activities this week from, Rosie rainbow magic show, Ice cream van as well as bouncy castle/assault course then Friday dress for a disco, karaoke and barbeque of hot dogs and hamburgers (vegetarian options are always available).
